Baked With Love was a dream for many years, and became a reality in 2016. After graduating from Bastyr University with a B.S. in Nutrition & Culinary Arts, Courtney had a fresh perspective on the largely untapped potential of baked goods.
When designing her menu, Courtney put a great deal of consideration into how to create delectable desserts that offer more nourishment than your typical treat, without compromising the integrity of the pastry. Rather than relying on your ordinary bleached white flour, Courtney calls on unbleached, oat, almond & whole wheat flours to craft her pastries.
To improve the mineral content of her menu further, she swaps white sugar with unrefined cane sugar, and white salt with sea salt. Many of her baked goods highlight fresh fruits, herbs, nuts, and spices, giving their nutritive value an added boost.
It is Courtney’s mission to help you celebrate life’s sweet moments with wholesome pastries, made from scratch, with mounds of love poured in!
